Grant assessment processes can take some time, so although it’s October 2026, and 2025 feels like a long (long long long!) time ago, it’s only recently that I’ve been able to confirm the outcomes of all grant projects I worked on in 2025. It’s time to crunch the data and review the year that was!
Pictured with the cast of Into Space by ARC Circus, which premiered at HOTA, Home of the Arts (Gold Coast), at the annual Kids Take Over Festival in September 2025. I worked with ARC throughout 2024 to secure investment from both Arts Queensland and Creative Australia towards the development and premiere of this new medium-scale work for families.
As I reflect on 2025, I have immense gratitude for the incredible community groups, not-for-profit and charitable organisations, creative practitioners, small businesses and regional councils I had the privilege of working with throughout the year.
From delivering hands-on grant writing and arts professional development workshops across Queensland to working closely with clients on significant funding proposals, last year was big! I’m grateful for the new and returning clients who chose to work with me.
Here’s a quick snapshot of what we achieved together in 2025:
49 grant applications written and submitted.
$14,502,068.35 attracted in grants and sponsorship.
35 organisations, businesses, and individual artists and entrepreneurs supported.
25 workshops and professional development training sessions delivered.
311 workshop attendees upskilled in grant writing and other topics, across 15 regional communities.
A Heartfelt Thank You to All 2025 Workshop Host Communities
Travelling across regional Queensland to facilitate face-to-face workshops continues to be one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. A special thank you to every host organisation, council team, and community venue that opened their doors to welcome me in 2025:
Maryborough, Gympie, Hervey Bay, Gladstone, Agnes Water, Yeppoon, Biloela, Tara, Chinchilla, Gatton, the Gold Coast, Cleveland, Springfield and Ipswich.
Four workshop sessions were held in the Gladstone region across 2025, at Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum and in Agnes Water.
Workshop feedback continued to be strong, and I thank all attendees who took the time to share their suggestions and “aha!” moments with me:
“A really valuable session talking everything arts marketing. Some great strategies for artists to boost their brand and productivity. Would highly recommend!” - Workshop Participant, Arts Marketing Fundamentals (Biloela, October 2025)
“Amazing and full of information! Explains everything so well and simply.” - Workshop Participant, The Art of Grant Writing (Hervey Bay, September 2025)
“Olivia was very engaging, inclusive and informative. She delivered her workshop in a patient, lovely way, respectful of all participants.” - Workshop Participant, Project Planning for Creatives (Agnes Water, September 2025)
Looking back on 2025 fills me with pride, and lights a fire for the time still to come in 2026. Thank you to everyone who supported my business last year. Whether we worked closely together on a grant application, you attended a workshop or followed me on social media, your support is greatly appreciated!
